To celebrate the first ever International Day of the Girl Child, Plan International is organising a Twitter #GenderJam on girls’ rights, on Tuesday 9th October from 14:00 to 17.00 UK Time.
The #GenderJam is a way to raise awareness of girls’ rights and share the thoughts, experiences, best practices, and recommendations of civil society, youth, media and policymakers on the subject of girls’ rights in developing countries, specifically focusing on three core topics: education (14:00 UK time), violence (15:00 UK time) and emergencies (16:00 UK time).
