The Alpine Shire Council and Women's Health Goulburn North East partnered in this action learning project (January - June 2012)to gather women’s unique perspectives on disasters and resilience, and to contribute to local community resilience planning.

31 women, aged 16 to 80+ years, residing in small rural communities (Kancoona,Dederang, Mt Beauty, Mudgegonga, Havilah, Wodonga, Alan’s Flat, Myrtleford, Ovens, Tawonga South & Porepunkah) met in small groups to share resilience knowledge between themselves and with local emergency services.
Project results were captured in videos and posters (www.whealth.com.au).
