Description

Joined by the common motivation to build professional networks and skills to prepare for, respond to, mitigate against, and recover from disasters, a group of women (and one man) created a forum to strengthen women's presence and excellence in emergency management.

The mission of EMPOWER (Emergency Management Professional Organization for Women's Enrichment) is to help women advance their careers through networking, mentoring, and promoting educational opportunities in the field of emergency management.
