Description

Women from Slum Women's Initiative for Development (SWID) will hold workshops and exhibits to educate the community on disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation through an exchange visit to Buwenge demonstration garden where women will exhibit what they have done as rural producers in the context of food security. In addition, women will demonstrate the techniques used to reduce the effects of disaster and climate change to local authorities and women in the community. Women themselves will demonstrate techniques they are using to reduce the effects of disaster and climate change so as to build on past resilience work.
